Hey! I’m Aaron.
If you’re even a little interested in my writing, DM me! I’m open to collaborating, reviewing your writing, and connecting with anyone that has shared interests.
I’m writing on Substack for my fellow analytical creatives, generalists, and multi-hyphenates—those of us who see the beauty in both physics and poetry and want to integrate the worlds of ideas and people through our seemingly unrelated interests.
I’ve spent my career in tech as an analyst and data engineer. I also built a successful consulting agency around these skills.
Here’s a few of my strong opinions, loosely held:
Interests aren’t meant to be selected from, they’re meant to be integrated.
Non-propositional sources of meaning like art, poetry, narrative, beauty, story, and shared struggle are all the self-help you need.
Learning is meant to be self-directed.
Emerson might be the best writer in the English language after Shakespeare.
True luxury is living life at a pace that allows you to “never hurry, never rest”.
Reading books about how to read books is underrated.
In my personal life, I’m a generalist. I have interests ranging from cognitive science to poetry.
I write about how important it is to integrate your interests, to prioritize intuition-led learning, and to build a life based on how you want to operate—not based on what you want to become.
If you haven’t already, check out my first post: How to Be a Master Generalist where I cover my views on this in detail.
